Yes, fine. You'll probably save about 3 minutes of your time if you decide to help make your pancakes from your box mix.

I know those 3 minutes are essential minutes that you may be spending shouting for your children to brush their teeth, trying to find shoes to use on everyone's feet (shoes that match, even, as you are Super Woman), as well as perhaps you need this time to explain for your husband that no, his shirt doesn't really match his tie anf the husband sort of appears like a hobo.

I understand it.

You're busy.

These pancakes are worth the hobo-looking husband and also the children likely to school in mismatched shoes with stinky breath.

Take the additional 3 minutes, result in the pancakes on your own, and rejoice in most that is buttery, fluffy, and delicious.

I've been making these fluffy pancakes my life insurance coverage and when I dare cheat and grab a box of pancake mix, my children revolts. So, yeah. Make these and have!

Total Time

These pancakes always cook super fluffy and flavorful! They're just as simple as the box mix, nonetheless they taste much better.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup buttermilk (or 3/4 cup regular milk plus 1 tablespoon vinegar - let sit for 5 minutes)

1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a very large mixing bowl.

In a little bowl, mix together the buttermilk, vanilla, egg, and oil until well combined.

Pour the wet ingredients to the dry and whisk together until the majority of the lumps have passed away. Do not overmix.

Heat a substantial skillet over medium heat and spray with cooking spray.

Pour 1/4 cup of batter in to the skillet and cook until bubbles form on the outside.

Flip the pancake and cook until browned about the bottom and also the center is completed.

Keep pancakes over a cookie sheet within a warm oven until willing to serve.

I thought these tasted a lot like Bisquick, YUM!

Any the thing it why mine were flat, I want fluffy these were not, I wonder if humidity or altitude as well could affect them,

Thank you!

Hi Len!

Sorry I missed this comment. Let's blame it within the holidays. 😉

If you have regular milk, you are able to sour it with all the vinegar, thus turning it into a great buttermilk substitute. I often try this as we seldom keep buttermilk readily available.

Yum, thanks!
