We love simple, no-fail recipes. Recipes you are sure that are all to easy to adapt or add to with no trouble. This recipe is definitely that. It's quick to make and we're able to bet you might have everything you need to generate them at the moment. In the past, we called on boxed mixes. Not anymore. Boxed mixes are perfect, but everything needed to produce delicious pancakes already sits inside our kitchen. We said goodbye to your mix and haven't looked back since.

How to Make Fluffy Pancakes

This recipe is not hard! The pancakes aren't too sweet and therefore are lightly scented with vanilla. They are delicious.

Here's how we make sure they are:

The Dry Ingredients

Flour: Use all-purpose flour or whole grain. A combination from the both is nice, too.

Sugar: We use granulated sugar, and you could try out brown sugar. Brown sugar can certainly make the pancakes more moist.

Baking Powder: Baking powder helps make the pancakes so light and fluffy.

Salt: We like to work with 3/4 teaspoon of coarse salt. It balances the sugar nicely and discloses lots of flavor inside the pancakes.

The Wet Ingredients

Milk: We usually adhere to reduced fat milk, since it is exactly what we have inside fridge, but take advantage of or non-dairy milk (like almond or coconut milk) is fine, too.

Melted Butter: You can't beat the flavors of butter because of this, but we've discovered that melted coconut oil is basically tasty.

One Egg: The egg adds structure so helping with how light and fluffy the pancakes become.

Vanilla Extract: Vanilla adds sweetness and depth of flavor. You could try other extracts, too. Almond extract will be pretty delicious.

Do you observe how fluffy these are, have a look at all those air pockets. If you need pancakes which are light and fluffy, you should definitely read our tips below.

For Fluffy Pancakes, Don't Over-mix

Over-mixing pancake batter is a kind of mistake — commemorate them heavy and flat, not fluffy. To prevent this, mix dry and wet ingredients separately to start with then combine prior to cooking. By the way, the following tips apply to waffles and muffins, too. We take advantage of this same strategy when creating our favorite blueberry muffins

Once you're ready cook, combine the 2 mixes — we work with a fork. Stir and soon you no longer see dry clumps of flour. There can be some small lumps, though.

Now, Adapt It Based on What You Love

This is our basic recipe. We use it frequently as is, but used it as a base for other recipes. Add everything you love. Here are several suggestions:

Sprinkle a small number of berries, nuts or chocolate chips in to the batter. (We love adding fresh blueberries for blueberry pancakes or mashed and sliced banana for banana pancakes)

Layer several thin slices of strawberry or banana into the wet batter once added on the skillet. Then, flip. (We added banana to these spiced, buttermilk and banana pancakes )

Add some spoonfuls of flax seeds, oats, or limit the sugar.

There's many things you can do to create these your own personal. So go experiment and add everything you love. Then, if you want, revisit and share what worked in your case. We'd desire to read about it.

Makes 4 servings, 2 pancakes each

You Will Need

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

3/4 teaspoon kosher salt

1 1/4 cups (295 ml) milk, dairy and non-dairy both works

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla flavor

Make Batter

Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and also the salt within a medium bowl.

Warm milk in microwave or together with stove until lukewarm, not hot (you need to be able to keep your finger submerged for ten seconds). Whisk milk, egg, melted butter and also the vanilla extract until combined. (By warming the milk slightly, the melted butter mixes in the milk rather than turning into small lumps).

Cook Pancakes

Heat a big skillet (or use griddle) over medium heat. The pan is ready if if you splatter slightly water on top of the pan surface, the stream dances round the pan and ultimately evaporates.

Make a well from the center from the flour mixture, pour milk mixture in the well and work with a fork to stir soon you no longer see clumps of flour. It is okay if your batter has small lumps, actually you want that ' it is vital not to over-mix the batter.

Lightly brush skillet with melted butter. Use a 1/4-cup measuring cup to spoon batter onto skillet. Gently spread the batter in to a 4-inch circle.

When edges look dry and bubbles begin to appear and pop in the top surfaces in the pancake, revenues. This takes about 2 minutes. Once flipped, cook another 1 or 2 minutes or until lightly browned and cooked inside the middle. Serve immediately with warm syrup, butter and/or berries.

I have tried a lot of recipes I've lost count. I tried this this morning and tweeked it somewhat. I used brown sugar rather than white and coconut oil rather than butter. Honestly they are the best pancakes I have ever had, these were moist and simply had the ideal pancake consistency. My kids 13 and 5 both said 'œprint that recipe mama this can be a killer' Thank you! ðŸŒðŸ»
