IHOP Pancakes (Copycat)
These copycat IHOP Pancakes are golden and fluffy pancakes that taste similar to the ones from your popular restaurant chain. My family devours these each and every time I cause them to become. They are the best!
I should admit it. I love me some IHOP pancakes. Breakfast is just one of my favorite meals you can eat at restaurants, though early funny, because I'm ordinarily a savory foods girl. I want to order chicken fried steak, bacon or eggs. BUT there's always different when we check out IHOP. I always obtain pancakes. They are amazing! Especially with their maple pecan syrup. Yum!
I found this copycat version coming from a blog I found off Pinterest and browse all the reviews. I always wish to read reviews before I try a recipe. They were all great and everyone said they loved them. Some commented they were a lot better than IHOP's. So that was the vendor to me. I printed off of the recipe making them for lunch. (I love breakfast for lunch, too 😀 )
Ingredients
1 teaspoon baking soda
In a big bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a little bowl, combine egg and buttermilk. Whisk together until blended. Add to flour mixture, stirring only until smooth. Add melted butter and sugar to batter and whisk until combined.
Heat a griddle or nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Grease griddle with cooking spray or butter. Drop ¼ cup batter on pan and spread in a 5-inch circle. Cook until bubbles commence to form on surface and edges start to brown. Gently flip and then brown opposite side. Repeat with remaining batter.
