2 tablespoons butter melted

Juice from 1 lemon

1 teaspoon garlic powder

¼ cup grated Parmesan

Lemon wedges for serving

Minced fresh parsley for serving

2 cups Libby's® Vegetable Pouches for serving (1/2-cup serving per person)

Instructions

Preheat oven to BROIL.

Place tilapia over a large, rimmed baking sheet which has been sprayed with cooking spray.

Combine melted butter, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and garlic powder in a bowl. Brush the butter mixture on both sides in the fish.

Place the fish for the prepared baking sheet, bottom side UP, and broil for 5 minutes. Flip the fish over, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and get back to the broiler for 5-6 more minutes. The fish will flake easily which has a fork when it is done.

Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley.

Note: This recipe yields four very big servings. If you're cooking for 2, or if you could have smaller appetites to secure, I would suggest using only a couple of tilapia fillets and cutting the rest in the ingredients by 50 percent.

Hi,

I love your easy recipe. My husband isn't big on parmesan, so I substituted it having a tsp of ground ginger. I also use parchment paper rather then foiling the pan. Guaranteed non stick. I have also tried paprika for an addition. (1tsp) it absolutely was quite yummy.

I normally bake my fish but will try your broiling method. I really just like the crust” it makes, looks great and I am sure it taste wonderful likewise.

P.S. I think step 6 generally is a typo since you could have already broiled the fish, Or do yo still must bake it after broiling,

Hiya Blair,

This is certainly a great recipe ! Can't go awry with with white fish, parsley and lemon and ready quickly. I love such recipes as it gets the message across that you just don't ought to be afraid cooking fish, lol. Not sure why that's this type of problem nonetheless it seems to be one common fear. I”m additional concerned about messing up a high-end steak!

Gorgeous photos 🙂

I got with brown rice

Hi, Amanda! Nope, it doesn't have to be fresh fish. I often use frozen fish! You will would like to thaw the fish inside the refrigerator before cooking.

I have never tried baking it from frozen. You would definitely must increase the cooking time, and I would reckon that it will work fine (although I can't make any promises!). 🙂

Hey, Angela! Thanks so much to your kind words! I definitely do NOT make multiple meals nightly — I don't have enough time (or energy) to the! For the most part, the children eat what I serve. My oldest and my youngest are certainly pickier eaters, but they also have learned to a minimum of try the majority of what I serve. More often than not, as long as they just take one bite, they recognize that they actually want it! Sometimes it needs a few tries before they are available around, but I'm persistent and I just keep serving what I wish to serve, plus they usually get on board eventually!

That said, I do make an effort to make sure that I have a minimum of one portion on the meal that I know everyone will like. For instance, if I'm trying a brand new seafood dish and I'm unclear how much the children will eat, I make an effort to pair it with either one of the favorite veggie side dishes (like broccoli) or by bread, pasta, or rice that I know they love. That way, even whenever they just require a few bites with the new food, I know that they may fill up about the other options. Some nights some may go to bed with mostly broccoli inside their stomach, or with mostly bread within their stomachs, but I figure it balances out after a while. As long as they try to try the dish, I certainly don't force the crooks to eat anything! 🙂

I hope that can help, and thanks a whole lot for following along!

Have a fantastic evening!

Blair,

Thanks due to this quick and easy recipe that I made tonight. I added fresh steamed green beans and I used a smaller crock egg poacher which only takes 2 minutes with the beans. Living alone and just having to give 1 mouth has produced the small steamer an absolute must have. When I did have close relatives living with me, I would definitely have tried the Libby vegetable pouches. Looked great.

Wow! What a smart idea to broil tilapia with those 5 ingredients. The dairy products added such a terrific touch along with the broiling tip caused it to be delicious. To complement my meal, I boiled fettuccine noddles and added the leftover 5 ingredients to be a sauce.

I'm a brand new fan. Can't wait to try a brand new recipe recommendation by you.
