Homemade Pancakes Without Eggs

fluffy pancake recipe
Pancakes are a favorite breakfast dish for millions of people. I am no exception - I love homemade pancakes. You know, the old fashioned kind, made completely from scratch, Most pancake recipes call for eggs, but what if you don’t have eggs, or don’t want to use them, Meet my favorite homemade pancakes without eggs! This is an old, tried-and-true egg-free family pancake recipe that I’ve been using for ages.

These pancakes are so good that you won’t need another pancake recipe, with or without eggs. I tried many pancake recipe over years but keep coming back to this one. What I like the most about this pancake recipe is that the batter can be prepared in just 5 minutes or less.

It’s as quick as reaching out for a box of pre-made pancake mix, reading instructions and adding additional ingredients to it. And you don’t even have to go to the store to buy the ingredients as pretty much every kitchen has flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and buttermilk. These pancakes are not very sweet so serve them dusted with powdered sugar, drizzled with maple or corn syrup, or honey, or with your favorite jam on the side. Just look how fluffy and airy they are inside! Homemade pancakes made from scratch and completely without eggs.

Combine all ingredients for the batter in medium bowl. Let rest for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat a large non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat. Add half a tablespoon of butter, let it melt and spread around the pan. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, add 3 scoops of batter to make 3 small pancakes. Cook about 2-3 minutes per side, until nicely browned. Repeat with the rest of the batter. Serve hot or warm with berries, sprinkled with powdered sugar, or maple / corn syrup, or your favorite jam. I agree using full sized M&M's are the best. Great recipe, thank you! You are right about smaller cookies turning out better. I find that to be true in general. It's hard to make really big cookies properly. Want to try these so much! Want to try these so much! These cookies look very delicious.

Hope to be able to bake one soon. I just made these - some as teaspoonfuls and some as tablespoonfuls. Neither of them spread out at all and remained nice and plump. I'm not sure what problems the other bakers had, maybe their butter was too soft at the beginning, Thank you very much for your comments, Cindy. I will experiment with the greasing of the cookie sheets the next time I make these. Cindy I just made these cookies.

They turned out beautiful thank you sooooo much ! Ps they were so easy. Thank you for the yummy cookie recipe. I wounder if people put in too many m&ms if that makes a difference how their cookies turned out wrong . Maybe they greased their cookie sheets, I didn't.

My cookies turned out beautiful. I was gonna put all of my 19 ozs of m&m in my cookies and my husband said she said only 12 ozs ! Their perfect thank you ! I love m&m's. At mac Donalds we have Mc Flurry icecream with m&m's that's so nice. Don't know if they serve that abroad,

This is a fabulous recipe for M&M's lovers! I will give your lens web address to a dear friend who can't live without them! I'm sorry they didn't turn out, Jennifer and wish I could help! I know you said you followed the instructions exactly but just in case, the two things that I think would affect the taste would be if you did not use brown sugar and if you forgot the vanilla.

Everytime we make these M&M cookies now, we try to understand where people could go wrong. Thanks for the great recipe. I am going to have to try this one. I made these cookies today and I followed the specs exactly as stated. My cookies looked fine, but the taste was not there.
