The largest Lie In Recipes For Chicken
Since I've been nursing a cold for the previous three days I decided to make soup for dinner tonight. Next time I'll add more cheese since it seemed to be overwhelmed by every little thing else in it. Turned out actually good. I discovered a recipe for hen cordon bleu soup and tweaked it slightly bit.
8-10 oz (mainly half a package) of thick-cut bacon but you should use pancetta as an alternative too diced prior to cooking
2 shallots or 1 medium sized pink onion diced
2 tablespoons garlic (or 6 regular sized cloves of garlic)
3-four lbs boneless, skinless chicken (I choose thigh meat since its extra flavorful)
1 lb deli ham thick-reduce into cubes or julienned
1 pint cream
4-5 cans of rooster broth/inventory
2 tablespoons of dijon mustard (Pardon me but do you've gotten any Grey Poupon?)
1-2 tablespoons of Creole seasoning
Cornstarch to thicken as wanted after it is all finished
Use the saute operate to cook the primary three things together. Once bacon/pancetta is good & crispy add the cream in and scrape all the goodness from the underside of the pot so you get that flavor in too. Set the timer for 25-30 minutes and as soon as it is completed take a few of the broth and put in a bowl with cornstarch to mix collectively for a slurry. Then combine in the rest of the components besides the cheese & cornstarch. Mix all collectively making sure to get is evenly distributed. Add the slurry to the pot and repeat until you might have the specified thickness. Finally add within the cheese on top and set the lid on. I ended up placing some child carrots in with mine as a result of I had some in the fridge that needed to be used quickly.
