2 lb floor beef
1 lb white mushrooms, sliced
1 medium white onion, finely chopped
1 packet onion soup mix
1 tsp garlic powder
4 cups beef broth
7 Tbsp corn starch
7 Tbsp chilly water
1 cup sour cream
salt and pepper
cooked egg noodles
dried parsley

In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown beef with onions until not pink.


Season with soup combine, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Add mushrooms and cook for 3-5 minutes more till they start to brown.


Add broth, improve heat to excessive and convey to a boil.

In a small bowl whisk collectively cornstarch and water until smooth to makes slurry.


While beef mixture boils, slowly add slurry combine stirring always till it begins to thicken.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for quarter-hour.

Cook's Note


This is the amount of corn starch and water I wanted to thicken the best way we like it. Always use equal quantities of corn starch and water. You may need less or extra.
