Guys, I am obsessive about Tilapia Fish Tacos, and that's why in our house Taco Tuesday is really very alive and well. Wanna taco bout it, Hahahaha Me neither. Let's just say my taco fetish means I need lots of options and variety. And these fish tacos…mmmmm. Fish tacos are typically set with frying oil, however these tilapia tacos have far fewer calories, because and we don't use any batter that becomes saturated with oil. That is one reason we love these a lot. They really are a piece of cake to make plus they pack a genuine flavorful punch, without dozens of typical frying calories.

Tilapia can be a low cost, quickly cooking, mild tasting fish. And it is a piece of cake to come by, a minimum of in the US. One in the reasons I personally like to buy Tilapia is that it is simple to prepare, and mild enough that even my picky eaters desire to eat it.

MY LATEST RECIPES

(BTW: This is the taco holder I use, LOVE it)

Tilapia Fish Tacos: Not most of my kids are huge on fish, I mean, that like to go fishing, all of which will usually eat what you catch. But when I make Salmon, or Mahi Mahi, I usually only consider one piece personally, one for my daughter who can't get enough of it, then one piece through-out my kids to share with you, simply because they just do not eat a lot of it.

Great Exception for the Rule

Happily, Tilapia can be an exception on the picky eater rule during my house, since it is one fish all of the kids will eat with abandon. Especially when I make tacos along with it. I have found that tacos work wonders for getting the children to eat stuff, and for that reason this is my Tilapia fish Taco recipe. There is no need to batter and fry tilapia, given it really does tastes much better, just lightly seasoned after which pan fried.

After cooking the filets, I like to employ a fork to flake them up, this way they are all to easy to spoon into tacos!

I have as part of the Tilapia Fish Tacos recipe some ingredients to create Pico de Gallo. They are optional, just like you are as i am and want to create life even easier, and dinner even faster, you should buy your pico fresh at the shop, or you can simply order Pico de Gallo online like many people do today. We love having Pico accessible always. That way, for tilapia fish tacos, all you have to do is cook the fish and chop up some cabbage. If you don't would like to chop cabbage, then just pick-up fresh coleslaw mix from your store. And because Tilapia takes like only 5 minutes in order to smoke, it can't get more simple. Especially if you like as if it quick, easy, and super delicious.

Then assemble, squeeze on some lime, and get!

Tips for Tilapia Fish Tacos:

Tilapia is mild, and many of its flavor is produced by added seasonings; season to taste.

Cook tilapia according to your thickness with the filet, about one or two minutes per side.

Top your fish tacos with your favorite ingredients: guacamole, pico de gallo, jalapenos, sour cream, etc.

Crisp your taco shells over a griddle with some butter to provide crunch and texture.
