Are they supposed to be soft after baking, I’m making some for my class but it’s my first time making them. Asking to be safe. At first I was not sure about the recipe. The original had more sugars and everything else. I went on a limb here and tried it anyway.
Perfect cookie. Not to soft not to hard. Just perfect and without the added sugars. Thank you for sharing. These were very good! Nice light buttery taste. Thank you for the perfect Christmas cookie! Thank you so much for returning to share your results! It's definitely our favourite. I've used this recipe over and over again.
It's my favorite by far. You are welcome. Now I'm hungry (again) for cookies! I try to stay away from cookies but this recipe sounds yummy. Love the way it can be modified to suit Hallowe'en, Christmas and any other holiday! PeggieL: Thanks for your visit, Peggie and the suggestion. 4Him: You are welcome. Leaving out the nuts is an easy way to accommodate people who cannot eat them. Thanks for visiting, commenting and sharing my lens. Love these cookies. Could go for some about now.
LauraHofman: You are welcome. We just had some with Easter-colored M&Ms and they were good, especially warm out of the oven. Have you ever baked skittles in a cookie, Thank you for the recipe! Hannah Writes: If they like cookies and they like M&Ms, they'll love these cookies. You just might, too, LOL! I hope you were able to adjust this recipe to your dietary needs.
ReshimiTheKitty: Bet your mom's cookies were good, too! Another way to take care of the "spreading out too much" problem is to use shortening, or half shortening/half butter. Cookies make with all butter will ALWAYS spread more than ones made with shortening. This may be silly, but I read your comment about not putting nuts in your cookies in case another student (with allergies) in your children's class got a hold of one, and I was just so touched!
Thank you for making my day by showing such compassion to others and sharing with us (and teaching your sweet children to love others)! Come check it out! If you try them, come back and let us know what you think! This looks like something my kids would enjoy! Thanks so much for your visits and your feedback.
Pecans sound like an interesting addition. Great recipe. These are delicious! I was looking for a good recipe for M&M cookies and came across this one. In my own words they are BANGING! I even added some chopped pecans to them and as quick as I can get them out of the oven they are gone. Thank you soo much for this recipe.
I stored it in my database of recipes. Thanks for the feedback, Monique. We all appreciate it. I have made this recipe before and the cookies are delicious. My one suggestion for those of you getting flat cookies is to refrigerate the dough for at least one hour before baking. I am making them today with Reese's Pieces!
What a great idea to have one color for a holiday! Those cookies look so yummy! Thank you very much for coming back and letting me know. OMGosh, I tried this recipe today and they are wonderful! And so easy to make! They really are the 'Best-Ever'! I just love your recipe.
