That is the original recipe for the Olive Gardens Lasagna Fritta. It is so scrumptious! Save this recipe for protected holding. You cant discover this authentic recipe wherever on the web. You can also make this recipe ahead of time and freeze it when you are ready to fry and serve. It's Parmesan-breaded lasagna pieces, fried and served over Alfredo sauce, topped with Parmesan cheese and marinara sauce.

I have given detailed photos and instructions for this recipe. Once you begin making this recipe you will realize how very straightforward it is to make.

This recipe is rather easy to make. It's so scrumptious. No one will believe that you made this, though the mouth watering aroma in your own home simply might convince them. Make this forward of time and freeze it for later.

Olive Garden Lasagna Fritta Ingredients:

2 eggs room temperature.

2 15 ounce containers of whole milk ricotta cheese. (no skim milk here).

1 Cup fresh Grated Parmesan cheese.

Sixteen ounces fresh grated mozzarella cheese.

1 Cup Romano cheese grated.

1 Cup Asiago cheese grated.

2 Tablespoon Italian seasoning.

1 1/2 cups Italian breadcrumbs for dipping

1/4 Cup recent Grated Parmesan cheese for dipping.

lasagna noodles 1 package

2 eggs for dipping.

Jar marinara sauce. (5 cheese if possible)

(This recipe makes 12 presumably thirteen fritta's)

Homemade Alfredo sauce recipe:

Four T butter

1 pint heavy whipping cream.

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

2/3 cup freshly grated Romano Cheese.

Salt and pepper to style.

1). First freshly grate all your cheeses, and place in separate bowls.

Note: You do want freshly grated cheeses and never the shredded packaged type. I normally buy my cheeses from Sam's as a result of they are more reasonably priced there, and you may freeze your remainder cheese that is left over. This does make a giant difference.

2). In a large bowl, add your egg, ricotta cheese's, Freshly grated Mozzarella cheese, Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, grated Asiago cheese, grated Romano cheese, and Italian seasoning. Set this bowl aside within the refrigerator until you are ready to use. Mix this real properly. It will be a thick cheese mixture.

Making the noodles.

1). Boil your lasagne noodles in response to package. Cook until al dente.

Be certain you don't overcook your noodles here. I normally just bairly undercook mine.

2). When they are cooked, rinse them with cold water actual good, and place one on the reducing board. Cut off the edge of the ribboning noodle, and discard the ribbon piece. Do all of your noodles gently putting them apart.

Spreading cheese mixture.

Folding the Lasagne Fritta

Assembling your noodles

1). Place your cut lasagna noodle lengthwise on the slicing board. Spread a skinny layer of the cheese mixture goodness over the noodle.

2). Start at the tip of the noodle and fold over approx 2 inches. Fold over again 2 inches. You wish to push this little piece over. You should have a little bit piece of the noodle left.

3). Lay them down on a plate and stick within the freezer for an hour until able to serve. If you're making these later, than stick them in a freezer bag, making sure the ends do not touch, and gently lay them in the freezer until you're prepared.

Before we serve our Olive Garden Lasagna fritta's we need to make our Alfredo sauce. Don't use a jar Alfredo sauce. Once you make this easy Alfredo sauce recipe- you will never buy a jar again.

Homemade Alfredo sauce.

Now that our noodles are in the freezer- we can make our Alfredo sauce.

1). In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the pint of heavy whipping cream. Keep this on low till your frittas are ready. Simmer on the stove for approx 25 minutes till the sauce thickens real good. Next add your garlic powder, nutmeg, and salt and pepper.

2). When you're able to make the frittas, add the romano cheese to your alfredo sauce and keep heat on the stove.

You also need to warm your marinara sauce as effectively.

3). In one other saucepan on medium heat- pour half the jar of marinara in the saucepan. Keep heat till able to serve.

Serving our frittas

When you are ready to serve, you need to take away them from the freezer. (If they were in there longer than an hour it's Ok). Let them sit out till on the plate for approx 15 min.

4). Get out 2 different bowls. Set your 2 bowls apart. One bowl you want 2 crushed eggs inside, and the second bowl you want to mix your breadcrumbs in with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.

5). After the quarter-hour has passed and you are ready to make the lasagna fritta's, you wish to heat up your fryer. Should you do not have a fryer than you want to get an enormous saucepan and fill with sufficient canola oil to cowl the lasagna fritta.

6). Gently dip your lasagna fritta within the egg, after which the breadcrumbs. You wish to coat your fritta very nicely, and be sure you get the top and the end coated.Do each Fritta and set verticle on the plate standing up.

7). When your oil is heated and able to fry, gently fry your fritta just until light brown. Set on a paper towel to drain, till all fritta's are completed.

Serving our Fritta's

That is the perfect half!

1). Get out your serving plate and calmly coat the bottom 1st with marinara sauce, and 2nd with the Alfredo sauce.

2). Set your fritta's vertical on the plate standing up. Sprinkle recent Parmesan over the fritta's, and Ola you could have an Olive Garden Lasagna Fritta masterpiece. Line every fritta on the serving plate, and calmly drizzle Alfredo sauce down the center, and evenly drizzle marinara sauce down the middle.

If you love this recipe- strive Olive gardens Shrimp Caprese recipe. It can go great with the Lasagna Fritta's as an fundamental course. It's so delicious and simple to make at residence. Succulent shrimp encased in a basil cream sauce.

Simple option to grate cheese.

Storing your left over cheese

When you have a number of cheese left over- like I always do. You want to freeze the remainder cheese.

Just lower the cheese into sections, and stick it in separate freezer bags. Use the cheese instantly. A day before you want to use the cheese just let it thaw out within the refrigerator.

Note: Parmesan cheese is the only cheese that you could freeze grated as a result of its texture. All different cheeses freeze in sections or cubes.

I could only find fresh mozzarella and Romano cheese... I had to buy freshly grated Parmesan and Assiago... You said it makes a big distinction. Should I even attempt use what I have or should I simply make something else?

Jackie

When you make a day forward and freeze them, do you cook the same as making them fresh?

Thank you!

Hello:

After step: Gently dip your lasagna fritta in the egg, after which the breadcrumbs. You want to coat your fritta very well, and make sure you get the top and the top coated.Do each Fritta and set verticle on the plate standing up.

You may then put on a plate and put right in freezer. You'll be able to keep the remaining in the freezer. When ready to fry just allow them to de-thaw a few minutes and fry. This manner you made them ahead of time- and simply fried them when needed.

Linda

Have you ever made this recipe the day earlier than and then reheated it to serve the following day? If that's the case, how did it turn out and what did you do? I'm attempting to avoid final minute entertaining prep. Thanks!

Are you able to freeze the egg/cheese mixture. This recipe referred to as for manner more than I needed.

Jeri

Hello, for anyone who is not big on ricotta cheese you can use cream cheese instead. Taste no completely different to be honest. Ricotta can be robust and take over. Not a fan but with cream cheese in place and all different cheese recipe calls for still so delicious.

these have been incredible :-) super close to olive garden! The one thing I changed was to make use of an egg wash to dip the frozen frittas in before frying. Overall 5 stars although! Great great! I usually desire that to a heavy plain egg. Next time I will certainly cut down on the ricotta as nicely.

I actually Just completed frying these up. Thanks! I sampled one (after patiently ready for it to cool!) and so they're scrumptious! ! The lasagna I bought was perhaps lengthy sufficient that I was in a position to get two frittas out of every piece and had fairly a little bit of cheese mixture left over (which I've frozen for a future batch!) Great recipe!

It is so good- Once you make these- will probably be a staple in your recipe ebook.
