Honey Lime Tilapia (Df)
Honey Lime Tilapia - Crispy pan-fried tilapia using a sweet honey lime marinade. This tasty recipe is a useful one to convert any fish hater!
Michael and I talk continuously about how being married and eating together is different the foods we eat.
For instance, I didn't eat much inside the way of potatoes, seldom bought steak, together with NEVER cooked steak of any type before i was married. Now, potatoes find their way into our menu once weekly or two then one of my personal favorite meals we've discovered together can be a sort of steak stir-fry
Michael, in contrast, never really ever ate fish. Not that they didn't like fish, he just never really ate it. Now, he really likes tilapia and shrimp (he can't get an adequate amount of our cajun fish sandwiches and shrimp po'boys ).
Because I love fish a whole lot, and I'm always planning to expand our seafood recipe repertoire, I hunted down this REALLY easy way for cooking tilapia. After eating this for lunch, Michael stated it was the top fish he'd ever eaten. Woo hoo!
Now, I know it seems as if fried fish. It isn't. In fact, every one of the ingredients necessary for this dish are pretty healthy and easy. I even used whole grain pastry flour for dredging the fish! Also, I found so it was a great balance of flavor instead of too sweet. I loved the amalgamation of lime and honey.
One from the beauties of fish is so it cooks in a short time. With merely a little bit of preparation beforehand, this meal all fits in place in about ten minutes. Seriously. You did read that right. 10 minutos, dear reader.
I tried an research the recipe, which originally needed marinating the fish approximately one hour ahead of time. I wondered whether it would work to marinate it over that, and we all cooked half the fish one night after approximately one hour of marinating time, and waited one day to cook in the rest for supper the next night. I couldn't tell any difference in texture, plus the flavor was, contrary, better.
Because of the, you can easily mix in the marinade, pour it within a zip-top bag using the fish fillets whilst keeping it as part of your freezer until you need to eat it. You just pull it out in the freezer, pop it in to the refrigerator during the day, through dinner time, all you have to do is dredge it and cook up. Easy-peasy!
As for to serve it with, we tried it that has a simple squeeze of lime juice, also it was delicious. Or, you can certainly serve it by incorporating peach salsa I loved it!
4 (4-5oz) tilapia fillets (thawed if frozen)
1 Tbsp essential olive oil
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2c flour (I tried both white flour and whole grain pastry flour with achievement)
1/4 tsp pepper
Assemble marinade by combining lime zest, lime juice, extra virgin olive oil, honey, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a very gallon-sized zip-top bag or shallow container that has a lid. Add fish and marinate within the refrigerator any where from 1 hour up to 1 day.
When ready in order to cook, combine flour with salt and pepper on the plate. Remove each fish fillet from your marinade and dredge lightly while using flour on both sides (a light, light coating).
Heat 1-2 Tbsp olive oil in the medium skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Cook fillets 2 during a period for 3-4 minutes per side or until opaque and browned (this is best suited if you don't disturb the fish much while and can cook).
Notes
If you need to plan this meal upfront, you may prepare the fish and marinade in the large freezer bag whilst keeping it inside the freezer. Move frozen fish and marinade on the refrigerator the morning you plan for everyone the fish and enable it to thaw from the refrigerator. It will marinate even though it thaws!

This dish looks so yummy.
I wonder if you could potentially bake it. The honey would caramelize inside the oven on the natural sugars. Alternatively, maybe make use of a non-stick pan.

Thank you to the recipe! We are not fish people”, so we are trying for being….and also your recipe is VERY appreciated!
This is surely an unusual question, but I would really appreciate an answer if you do not mind. I found your blog that had 5 main course recommendations for a week, plus one dessert, plus one snack. The blog familiar with list the recipes on it's blog, these days it links with blogs. It picked your fish recipe to url to, which is how I found this fish recipe. I lost the web page for that blog, and I wondered in case you know it, I didn't know when it linked to your blog post without your knowing, or should you were conscious that another blog related to yours for your fish recipe.

Pineapple Thyme Fried Rice.
1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 teaspoon Thyme
2 tablespoons butter.
Heat Oil in skillet on high until near incredibly hot and add rice. Stir rice constantly until it will take on an opaque milky quality (Or you may brown it in case you like).
Mix pineapple, juices, water and thyme and help to increase mixture. Cook on medium until rice is tender and moister is finished. Mix in brown sugar and butter and stir well. Let set 2-5 minutes and serve.
Sorry it my recipe formulation lingo leaves something to become desired. Never had to write down a recipe for everyone other than myself.
I just tried the honey lime marinade as being a dressing on the salad with mixed greens, garlic pepper sauteed shrimp, sliced avocado and sliced toasted almonds. It did wonders! This honey lime dressing is fast becoming the most popular thing to use anything and everything! It works with chicken, it functions with white fish, it truly does work with shrimps!

Hi, I have some questions on the rice. Do you drain the pineapple before you decide to add it on the rice, Can you use that juice when your 1 cup pineapple juice” or does one recommend acquiring the juice separately, This sounds delish and I can't wait to use it.
