This honey lime tilapia is unbelievably delicious. The flavor is really fresh and lightweight and fantastic. Honey and lime basically participate in each other forever.
Admittedly, I'm a major tilapia lover
However I'm hinting, even when I didn't love the fish, this flavor pairing and cooking method would convince me otherwise.
This honey lime tilapia is unbelievably delicious.
It's trending presence in recipes is justified because honey and lime basically are part of each other forever and ever.
Even though this delectable, tender fish appears to be if it's been battered and fried, this is a fairly healthful dish.
The tilapia, which is marinated and infused with honey lime deliciousness, turns into a quick dredge in seasoned flour - whole-wheat in my case - before cooking quickly to golden perfection.
The flavor, oh the flavour!, is very fresh and light-weight and fantastic that I stood a really hard time not stealing my kid's portions.
Too bad they loved this honey lime tilapia as almost as much ast I did.
There wasn't any excuse to vie for lunch clean-up concerning weren't any leftovers to place away,” knowing what I mean.
Incidentally, I served this with steamed broccoli and brown rice having a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Simple, fast, healthy and tasty. Can't look for much more than that.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons lime juice (from 1 large lime)
Zest of a lime
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoons honey
Coating and Cooking:
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
In a smaller bowl, whisk together the lime juice, lime zest, coconut oil, honey, salt, pepper and garlic. Place the tilapia in a very gallon-sized ziploc bag and pour the marinade together with the fish. Press the oxygen out on the bag and seal. Refrigerate the fish for at the least an hour or longer to 4 hours. It helps to get the bag within a flat dish and transform it over twice during the marinading time since marinade won't completely cover the fish.
Before cooking, whisk together the flour, salt and pepper within a shallow dish as being a pie plate. Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until rippling and hot. Dredge each tilapia fillet inside the flour, coating each party lightly. Cook the fillets for 3-5 minutes per side without moving the fish even though it cooks on either side; this can ensure a much more even browning. Adjust the cooking time when needed depending on the thickness on the tilapia and also the heat in the skillet and operate in batches as appropriate so the skillet isn't overcrowded.
Serve immediately with lime wedges.

I followed the recipe exactly, including using all fresh ingredients and I marinated it most on the day. I loved so it was nice and crispy on the outside of. However, I cannot figure out why there were absolutely no flavor to the. My husband said exactly the same.
I think next occasion I will skip the flour as a whole and either pan fry inside marinade or put within the oven while using marinade.
I really wanted to love this and I'm not much of a ‘foodie' by any stretch. I'm very happy with very simple tastes and ingredients nonetheless it just wasn't there personally. Sorry.
I'll return with an update, tho.

I made this today and everyone enjoyed it. delicious.
My favorite method for fish is equal parts panko crumbs plus a mix called Fryin Magic, and after that to just pan-fry. We have fish fry's within the summer when hubby brings home the bluegill.

Also, I saw a burglar asked about using agave earlier. I did, and although it might have tasted slightly better than honey, it absolutely was nevertheless delicious.

That sounds delicious! Honey-lime is usually a favorite flavor mixture of mine, too.
I create a salad dressing of 3 parts oil, 2 parts lime juice, and 1 part honey with salt and pepper to taste and lime zest as desired that is often a family favorite. I could drink the stuff! It's also good with lemon.
