Delicious Nutella Pancakes Recipe

delicious pancake recipe
Recently I came up with brilliant idea, I was thinking about Nutella filled crepes, which sound so tempting, and then I thought: why don’t I make some American- style pancakes with Nutella. And it was a good decision. Pancake batter is very adaptable and just about any ingredient can be worked into it, and I simply added chocolate- hazelnut spread ingredient to my pancakes. To top the pancakes, I usually use maple syrup but you can as well top them with chocolate syrup, which is also very delicious.

And if you have a picky eater at home, I am almost sure, your kid will enjoy these pancakes with chocolate chips which you can add to the batter. For Nutella Pancakes I use buttermilk instead of milk as I consider buttermilk pancakes to be more airy and lighter. Remember that it is good to set the batter aside for few minutes before cooking so that baking soda and baking powder will perform their magic and make the pancakes airier. 1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, sugar and salt.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together Nutella and egg. When combined, beat in buttermilk. 3. Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until combined. 4. Set the batter aside for 5 minutes before cooking. 5. Heat a frying pan or a griddle over medium-high heat and brush it with few drops of oil. 6. Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the frying pan. 7. Cook the pancake on one side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. 8. Flip the pancake and again cook for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. 9. Serve warm and with desired syrup.

While there is little doubt that chocolate tastes great and makes a terrific treat, it should not be eaten as though it were the main course and a little goes a long way in relieving that sweet tooth. Finding kid friendly recipes that limit the amount of sugar and fat your child consumes is the best way to teach them portion control and have them grow up making healthier food choices.

While there are low fat sugar free versions, they contain artificial sweeteners that are made from various chemicals. Artificial sweeteners are not considered healthy for children or adults and these sweeteners have caused some allergic reactions in children. Therefore, it is better to give you child real sugar in small doses than resort to artificial sweeteners that may be even less healthy for them in the long run.

The best kid friendly recipes are those that have healthy main ingredients and include a small bit of their favourite treat to add flavor. Here is a simple recipe that you can make anytime or serve as a light dessert when grilling outside during the summer. Take two pineapple rings and grill on an outside grill or your pancake grill. Another great sweet treat for your child is to take a cup of low fat milk, pour it into an ice tray and freeze it overnight.

Then place the frozen milk into the blender add 1 teaspoon of sugar and blend to ice cream consistency. Pour into two dessert dishes and top with 1/2 teaspoon cocoa per serving. As you can see, these kid friendly treats use the cocoa as flavoring not as the main ingredient, allowing them to enjoy the taste without being fed large amounts of fats or sugar.

Children who grow up eating this way are more likely to continue using fats and sugars in limited amounts when they grow into adulthood. This allows you to give your child special sweet treats while still ensuring they are eating healthy. You also need to keep in mind that children learn by example, so you want to limit your choices of sweets and sugars as well so your child views eating healthy as normal. What Exactly Are Whole Grains, Whole grains are exactly what the name indicates. Any grain that still has all of its parts, such as the bran and germ, qualifies. Refined grains have these parts stripped away leaving only the endosperm. This part of the grain is no longer bound by the naturally occurring fiber and the result is a higher glycemic load.

The health benefits of consuming whole grains are too numerous to list here. A few of the top benefits include a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke and certain cancers. The nutritional value provided by whole grains far surpasses that present in refined grains. Many people don't switch to whole grains because they are afraid they will no longer enjoy their favorite foods.
