Herb Crusted Tilapia

Herb Crusted Tilapia

tilapia recipes
I am always searching for good flavorful tilapia recipes that may be prepared for everyday meals. Adding spices with a dish just adds to the recipe and based on the type and level of spices you employ can change a recipe completely.

I actually found this recipe in the circular within my local market. While it required fresh herbs, I used dried herbs to build more of a 'dry rub' to the fish. We found the taste to be really fresh and delicious with all the herbs, tomatoes, and lemon. Pair this fish with Lemon Rice with an easy meal that you will find perfect for everyone everyday.

If Tilapia just isn't your fish usually chosen, this could be a great recipe for virtually any white fish and also salmon.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup whole-wheat bread crumbs (get them to yourself - they can be so much greater than from a can!)

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1 teaspoon dried chives

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon granulated garlic

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried Mediterranean oregano

1 tablespoon fresh squeezed freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 1/2 of a big lemon)

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven broiler to low

In a dish or with a plate sufficient for 1 little bit of tilapia, mix bread crumbs, parsley, chives, thyme, dell, garlic, salt and pepper.

Brush each tilapia fillet with organic olive oil and coat them while using bread crumb mixture and put them on the baking sheet.

Broil for approximately 15 minutes turning once in the midst of the cooking process.

The fillets will turn golden and flake easily having a fork when cooked through.

While tilapia is incorporated in the oven, combine the tomatoes, basil, oregano, fresh lemon juice and remaining pepper.

Serve while using tomatoes over each tilapia fillet.
